An email for evolving Self
Note to Self: Change
Change is a constant that we can count on. We can count that the seasons change and caterpillars turn into butterflies; trees lose their leaves and regrow them, etc... In nature it is the change that creates a rebirth and the constant cycle of life. However, as humans we are creatures of patterned habit. What I mean by patterned habit, is that because of our social constraints of what is the "norm" it creates a pattern structure in our brain centers. These pattern structures in the brain centers reflect through our eyes the world we perceive. What we see with our eyes is a reflection of the stimulus and chemical patterns of the mind. If we want to see more peace within our world, we must look within our Self and change the structure or false beliefs we may think about our peace and the world. Whatever the aspect is we would like to "see”, change must be done from within. As we look within and change our hold of these false structures, our view of the world becomes quite different. We can now understand that we are the creator or our perceived world. We can now drop judgment because it is not the outside that is at fault but the false chemical brain patterns we were told to believe that must dissolve. When we practise changing from within and letting go of all the baggage, we too begin to rebirth and find that there is a deep silence of peace and non-judgment. The love for your Self begins to grow as does your understanding. Change from within. Change your world. Change to rebirth because what lies beneath is so much more than you can ever imagine. It is your Divine Self of pure light and immense Love to offer to the world.
Sit in a quite comfortable spot. Create a grounding cord from your root and connect it to the center of The Earth's core. With your right hand, place it over your Heart and say:" I forgive my Self for anyone I have hurt with my thought, word, or deed, in this lifetime or any other lifetime, in this dimension and plane and in all dimension and planes.. I AM FREE, I AM FREE, I AM, I AM" Then put your hand down and sit with your body and the tingling for a moment. Later... You can create a shorter version and put your right hand over your Heart and say," I AM FREE, I AM FREE"
Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
-The Matrix movie
“Be the change you want to see in the world.”
“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”
"If you could get rid of yourself just once, the secret of secrets would open to you. The face of the unknown, hidden beyond the universe would appear on the mirror of your perception."
"Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders of our countries or with those who have been appointed or elected to do a particular job. It lies with each of us individually. Peace, for example, starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighboring communities, and so on."
- Dalai Lama
Please remember, You ARE the Divine expression, you are the very blessing with everything you come into contact with, including the very ground you walk upon. The Earth delights in your very presence as it is aware of your Divinity. The Love the Universe has for you is completely unconditional. Know this always.
Miracle = "mirror oracle"
My love and most sincere gratitude extends to you always,
Flow Notes is a manifest well-being and information seed that came to Tamara Cortez as she began creatively writing with the intention that we all awaken as we see the reflection of the universe in each being. As Tamara began writing and sharing her notes with those who willingly participated in this consciousness project through her e-mail list, she came to understand that what was happening within herself on a microcosmic level was happening with others and community on a macro level. Her drive to connect through her notes so that others knew they were not alone in their “growth” propelled a seven-year writing project. As Flow Notes grew, the messages became profound, and Tamara allowed these notes to flow through her for the benefit of human consciousness. Connecting in this way became more than just a weekly note, but also putting aside the ego and allowing for divine guidance and advice to come through not just for herself, but all who read them. She realized that in the toughest times of her life, Flow Notes was the flickering light at the end of the tunnel. The main goal was to be of service through these notes and at times be openly naked to the hurt and what it had to teach her and how we are all connected through this web of life. After a bicycle accident in 2008 and months of recovery, Tamara realized that releasing these notes needed to be done on a massive scale. These notes were no longer hers to keep but for the world to enjoy and be inspired to the wholeness of who they are.
Thank you for your words of calmness, positive energy you have given. Continue on to your journey!
Thank you Pinky!! Blessings!!
Tamara Jo Cortez' new book, Flow Notes (E-book version reviewed, available at Balboa Press or Amazon) may at first glance seem a sweet, simple collection of positive affirmations. However, while her notes do positively affirm my oft-disturbed spirit and give rise to smiles in the same way as do sweet and simple post-it notes on my steamy, post-shower bathroom mirror, Tamara's little insights reach deep into my soul with a perfectly deft, balanced touch of gentle, delicate honesty and unfettered, powerful insight.
Tamara is a healer in an age when this whole planet is in the throes of massive change, an evolution of which she is keenly aware. And thus, with the sensitivity of a true empath, she utters just the right words at just the right time to just the right audience. I have been reading Flow Notes for about a week now, and each time I have picked it up, it has spoken to me. To me. And not just "little" me, but "BIG" Me-- the Divine Keith, the Universalis creatorem-cum-Keith. It is precisely when I have been feeling least powerful, and least divine, that Flow Notes has brought me back into the fold, back into the flow of the current moment, which is, after all, the only moment in which we can feel-- and therefore, the only moment in which we can feel ourselves AS Divine, AS Connected-to-Universal-Source, as a natural expression of the Universe-in-the-process-of eternal-becoming.
Flow Notes is littered with such reminders of our divinity, straight love-arrows aimed squarely at the delicate human inhabitants of today's crazy world. We don't encounter healers of Tamara's caliber every day. But with Flow Notes, she blesses all of us with her gifts of true compassion and pure love.
Flow Notes is a beautiful and shining short book written by Tamara Cortez. I met Tamara at a yoga course in India a couple of years ago and could tell almost straight away that she had a natural and genuine gift for energy healing. So when I found out that Tamara had written a book on the topic of mindfulness I was very interested to have a read.
I downloaded the E-Book from Balboa Press and even just opening to the first page, I felt a little calmer; a little more centered.
Each chapter conveys substantial wisdom with an easy and relaxed tone. As is the case with all authentic books on the topic of spirituality or the importance of presence in the here-and-now, open to any random page and it is almost certain that you will read a line that seems perfectly handcrafted to illuminate any problems you happen to be facing at the time.
The predominant themes of the book are the art of letting go and acceptance of what is... and nobody can have too many reminders of the importance of these two keys to conscious awareness and living in a state of universal flow. It also deals with intention and the importance of acting from love, not fear, and the value of viewing all matters free from judgement.
Tamara's own observations on each topic are interspersed with quotes from a diverse range of prominent figures from Osho to Charlie Chaplin to Anne Frank.
I turn back to this short volume every now and again in times of stress or when I am unsure how best to move forward and it invariably gives me just the right reminders I need to keep positive and stay in the flow.
