After traditional treatments, such as chemotherapy, failed to control his cancer, Jeffrey started looking for emerging therapies. This one-of-a-kind vaccine reeducated his immune system so that it could identify and destroy his cancer.

It was January 2006; Jennifer Alderman was engrossed in a session with Medium Michael Cartwright. Assisting Michael was his ever faithful Spirit Guide, the venerable Mr Tai Ling. Jennifer was wanting to learn of her family and the associated troubles they had had. It was going well, but Tai Ling kept butting in with stuff that didn’t concern her... you are going to meet a male he said, he is having something injected into him; it’s nothing to do with diabetes or illicit drugs. Jennifer was becoming annoyed as much of her session was being spent on something she had no interest in, as she was against Western medicine and besides she didn’t even know such a person. The crux of the communication was that when Jennifer met this person, and she would, that she was not to pooh-pooh his treatment because it was the very best that modern medicine could offer.

So began my Spiritual awakening that I was not alone in my journey with cancer, and that the Spirit world weaves its web in mysterious ways. You see, I had been battling Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma since 1999 and my cancer had relapsed for the fourth time. In mid 2006 I had embarked on a new and experimental treatment whereby a personalised vaccine was manufactured from my own body cells and injected into me.

Some months later Jennifer and my paths did cross, at a Basketball stadium in Mornington. She overheard me talking about the treatment I was having. She told me she already knew because Michael had told her all about it. She then loaned me the tape of the session which had been made, and I was blown away... How could Michael Cartwright and his Spirit Guide know about me and my experimental cancer vaccine treatment, and why would they even care?

I immediately made an appointment to have a Medium session with Michael, to shed more light on the matter. But unfortunately he sadly passed away a few days later and I was never able to see him. Undeterred I was put in touch with a wonderfully talented Medium I shall call Jillian. I remember clearly before my first session, some of my friends said “you know, Mediums are charlatans, they are just there to take your money.” I recall my first session took one and a half hours, and at the end of it I was charged a paltry $30, hardly a money making exercise! Apart from communicating with my grandfather Alfred, grandmother Elsie, mother Pauline, father Frank and dear brother David who had all passed, Jillian was also able to make contact with Tai Ling who was the Spirit Guide so interested in my treatment. This follow-up confirmed that the Spirit world was indeed very interested in my welfare and treatment... in fact there was a whole army of people rooting for me, be they in this world or beyond. Tai Ling communicated that my treatment was the best that modern medicine could offer, and that I was like a pebble in a pond, proving the treatment for other cancer patients. Why Spirit is interested in me and would even be aware of my treatment, I cannot explain. But it has given me great comfort to know that indeed I was not alone in my journey.

Jennifer was to teach me that cancer is not a disease but a dis-ease. That cancer can manifest itself as a result of your body not being in balance. It is so important to get your life in order, as well as having treatment to cure the illness.

This book is about my life leading up to my first diagnosis with cancer, the cancer journey, and my life beyond cancer. I do my best to explain what it is really like to be faced with life-threatening cancer. I will do my best to explain what it is like to endure the myriad of cancer tests and treatments. But more importantly I want to show you that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and you can survive cancer and lead a life which is richer and fuller than it ever was. I want to inspire cancer patients and their families that there is hope and that you must never give up. If I had done, I would not be here today to tell my story.
