Chapter one - Eternal life
How fortunate you and I whose home is timeless

The title of this book is called Eternal Light. I have named it so because of the intrinsic nature of our being, that which is ultimately eternal that which is ultimately light. This book is not about the afterlife, although certainly there is much evidence woven throughout this book to prove of an afterlife, my message to you is one of eternal life, the journey of your soul, the journey that is endless, timeless and in fact eternal. I realise that you’re very busy dealing with your present situation meaning the physical life that you are now experiencing to perhaps even bother with a so-called eternal life and although I may find it hard to convince you within the first chapter of this book that you are an eternal being please allow me to try.
At the age of seventeen, I was drawn to read books, not the sort of books that a typical teenager would read. These books were far from normal for a person of my age to be interested in. The material I was reading was channelled by divine beings. It was very rare, very unique and challengingly complex hence why most of it took me quite some time to absorb. My friends had no idea what I was into so when they would drop by to see me I would hastily dispose of my strange books and pretended I was doing something cool instead like listening to the latest music. I knew I was alone in my quest and search for the meaning of life with my mother often wondering why I would read such material and create my own study journal on all kinds of spiritual matters, I would even use coloured pencils to brighten up the pages of my study book. It seemed to me that there was so much to learn. In my colourful book that I was always adding information to, there was a section on death titled ‘The ultimate healing’ named not by me but by the beautiful channel who so lovingly guided many on a various aspects of spirituality and the conditioning of the human race, death only being part of a myriad of intriguing subjects. I had no idea that what I was reading would be so important to me in the later years. Why was it that I just happened to stumble across this fascinating information in a second hand book store? How fortunate was I to find just what I needed in order to lay down the spiritual foundations that would serve me for the rest of my life! Was it just a coincidence or was I being prepared for the future me? I knew that the information had an absolute truthness about it, with each word repeated inside my head, my soul longed for more. For more expansion and for more truth, it really didn’t matter to me if the content was about reality creating, UFO’s, past lives or future lives, I was a like sponge eager to soak up all the words of truth I could find. At that early stage of my life I had no idea as to what I wanted to do or be. I did think of becoming an air steward. Another idea was to open a health food store seeing I loved to eat such healthy foods, none of these ideas came to manifest. Looking back on my journey, knowing completely who I am, I realise that my entire past has been what you could call training for the development of my divine purpose here on this planet, put simply that purpose is to awaken humanity to their divinity. I have done all the training, tests and studies necessary to arrive at this point in my life today as I type these words to tell you this ‘You are a child of God’. As God’s child you are precious, divine and perfect in all ways. The power of God lives inside your heart, God is who you are. Take yourself to another level as you read these words, try to open up and feel this truth. Is it really so hard to believe that you the human being are actually part of God? Are you separate from the intelligence of the universe? Without doubt know that you are a part of the divine intelligence of the universe called God/Goddess. Know that you are experiencing a temporary detour through this physical life called the material plane and in time, when it is your time you will return home to your real home. Understand that you will never really know this until you reach that place. There are those of you who may have an inkling, a glimpse and perhaps even a feeling about it but until you get there, that is leave this physical existence, you can never truly understand what your real home is, not from this physical perspective. The reason, because words can never describe this place, the place that we call home with God. I want you to know that you’re only real and true purpose upon earth is to become more ‘God like’ and to become one with God again. When you truly know this while in physical form, you will have achieved a great deal in this life, including all of the lives that have led you to this pinnacle point. The point of achieving this great understanding, the understanding that you and all other beings in all forms, and I repeat in all forms are in actual fact ‘One’ will be the greatest moment of your eternal life! For then you will know God while you are in the physical form and this is called glory. All else who claim to know God in the physical form but act otherwise are comprehending a false God.
A very intelligent and wealthy friend of mine once said to me “I don’t understand what the soul is, I have read the book ‘Chicken soup for the soul’ and I still cannot comprehend it all”. I said to him “that is because you are not meant to”. He peered at me strangely as I proceeded to say, “You won’t learn it from a book and you won’t learn it in a day or a month or a year, in fact it will take you many years to understand the soul if that is what you are looking for. If it is something that you choose you will learn it on your own, others will point you in the right direction and show you the way, but this journey is one you will go on by yourself. Even though you will learn this truth on your own and in your own way I want you to remember that you will never be alone”. I think by this stage he was even more confused. I tell you this to share a point, that is to remind you that it does not matter whether you would like to understand the soul or not but if you choose to it will enhance your journey here in ways that you could never imagine and your life will take on a complete new meaning. To take part is such a grand adventure as journeying all the way into the depths of your soul is to understand life. It is to learn and know whole heartedly know why you are here and not to be wandering through a life you can call an abyss. If you deny the calling of your soul that yearns for your attention (after all this is why you are here in the first place) you may find yourself feeling left out or left behind as we take leaps and bounds into a new age and new world of people who look to their souls for the answers they have always sort, finally finding truth, finally experiencing inner peace. It takes great courage to try to understand life, few of us pay attention to why we are here and even fewer of us study it. It takes even greater courage to try and understand the true meaning of life and death. Birth, life and death are all one, one eternal life. To know life is to know death, it is all the same. You already know this because you have lived and died many times through the journey of your eternal life it’s just that you have forgotten. I won’t ask if you are ready for this adventure because I already know that you are, so take a deep breath dear soul and continue, it is time to remember.
