It is a question of focus. Focus your thoughts on something that makes you feel good or simply take your focus off the thing that makes you feel less than good. We automatically refocus when we sleep or when we meditate. We do it when we listen to music or read a book or watch a good movie. Each time we do so it gives us a feeling of relief because we have taken energy away from things that causes us to feel less than good.
‘I just want some peace!’
I hear those words so often from my clients. In my role as practitioner, I see people living lives of struggle and sadness. If you are one of those people, I want you to know that life does not have to be so hard.
Life can be joyful – in fact life was meant to be joyful.

I have been a counselling psychologist for many years. I knew when I was 7 years old that was what I wanted to do with my life. It was my dream. At that time though, I spoke to someone whom I cared about and they said, ‘Oh no, you don’t want to do that. People will think you are psychoanalysing them.’ I didn’t know what psychoanalysing meant at that age, but it didn’t sound very good. I put that dream away and did not revisit it until 30 years later.
In recent years I have been – and continue to be – on my own journey of self-discovery. I have found the peace I was seeking. Nothing could give me greater joy than to share that peace with you.
I have learned – or remembered – that feeling joy is all that is required for life to make sense. It now feels as though all the pieces of the jigsaw of my life are zooming into their rightful place.
My real awakening began, one day not so long ago, when I read my stars for the day in the local newspaper -more for fun than guidance. The statement was, ‘Your future is here and it is magnificent’. I looked at those words and felt a shift in my being. I came back to it later and again felt some connection with something I had never experienced before. I eventually tore out the scrap of paper and kept those words. They kept ringing in my thoughts.
Up until that time, like so many other people, my life never felt quite right because there had been so much struggle, so much sadness, confusion and sometimes pain. I couldn’t believe life was meant to be such a struggle and yet, I was certainly experiencing that very struggle. I saw others around me experiencing the same struggle, whereas others seemed to just breeze through life full of joy and happiness.
I had always wondered about the inconsistencies of life:
Why do some people, individually and in groups and even nations, seem to suffer so much, and others slip through life unscathed?
Why is it that genuinely kind and compassionate people suffer multiple illnesses in their life and yet others who are less than compassionate and caring, suffer very little?
Why do little children have to withstand illness and abuse when these innocent little beings should never even have awareness of such things?
Now, with the knowledge of how the Law of Attraction works and my ability to create my own reality, life is making sense to me and I want to share that journey with you. I want you to feel the same clarity and feeling of completeness that I now feel.
Life is not meant to be a struggle. Life is meant to be full of joy. All we need to do is to seek out the joyful feeling in our soul and then we will know we are on track to live the life we are meant to live, in a state of peace.

We will explore the Universal Law of Attraction and how it is always working in your life and we will come to an understanding of how to work with the Law of Attraction to deliberately create the life you choose, rather than just going with the flow of life and creating your experience of life by default.
For some this will be an easy transition and for others there will be more involved. For some it is just a matter of changing the way you think and, therefore, changing the way you feel. Often it is a matter of changing patterns of behavior and faulty beliefs.
Some people will struggle with changing their thinking and beliefs. I will, therefore, introduce you to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a wonderful energy technique which will allow you to shift emotions, beliefs and patterns of behaviour that have seemed ‘stuck’ to you, relatively easily. No matter how long ago the distressing events happened, or how intense the emotion about them feels, EFT will rapidly and effectively clear that emotion in most cases. You will then be free to change the way you think and, therefore, the way you feel.
When you feel joy and freedom, when you feel empowered and filled with love, you will have come into alignment with who you were always meant to be. You will be aligned with your Higher Being, whatever or whoever you consider that to be. It is the most wonderful feeling of connection.
