After declining a proposition that has brought overwhelming regret, our poet leaves everything behind that is familiar - the mundane - to embark on a quest for answers.

Like the troubadour, our protagonist invites us to join them on a rustic, picturesque journey to meet the muse, other poets and more, who leave their footprints on these stories.

These are all travelers who have crossed paths with our seeker, who is far from their homeland, searching for revelations whlie traveling the world alone.

In the end, will they discover if it was wise to have left at all?

Born in luscious, tropical El Salvador, at an early age, Valery Santillana demonstrated a love for languages and literature.

An avid traveler who has resided and studied in different countries, she used writing as a creative outlet while being abroad.

This book began with one poem, dedicated to her late grandfather, which was the catalyst of this work. The poem took a life of its own, thus creating many more stories, which came together to create Traveling Poet.

This is her first published work, which encompasses many of her other passions such as, photography, graphics, and story telling.

At present time, Valery Santillana is residing in the great white northern country known as Canada.
