PROLOGUE

Mighty. Eternal. Omnipotent. In a place of light and love, beyond all space and time, the spiritual elders communed in unified purpose around the sacred circle. Their garb, their manner of speech and movement, reflected diverse tribes, various traditions, and unfathomable gifts. Lakshmi, the raven-haired, breathtakingly beautiful Hindu goddess, her sari ornamented with shimmering rubies as well as precious stones of every hue, positioned herself next to Soma, an equally resplendent Zulu princess. Male and female, the twelve enlightened spirits represented the Most Holy. Together, they worked to prepare the innocent being, now reverently kneeling before them, for the time of transition.

The twelve were of one mind yet it was Aine, the Celtic goddess who translated shared images into soft, audible words. Finally, the task at hand completed, she gently inquired, “Are you ready, my child?”

“Yes, I am ready,” responded the Beloved, her unfaltering voice clear, without a trace of perceptible fear.

“And so, it begins,” commanded Banchewa. The medicine man, his muscular, finely toned body covered in sacred animal skins, gestured to the others with his exquisite, ornately carved staff.

The twelve rose from their exalted positions and ceremoniously encompassed the Beloved. These powerful spirits, eternally joined, physically intertwined, clasp each others’ hands as they raised their arms, their indivisible souls, up to the heavens. Then the chant, a sound with no discernable beginning or end, electrified the cavernous chamber. Muted at first, the timeless voices rose like an enveloping crescendo - perfect in pitch and harmony.
Child of the Universe
Begin this day your journey.
Celebrate the virgin path,
Rich, consecrated Earth hold holy.

Seek Wisdom not in stars above,
Nor mortal man below.
For the Great Creator whispers truth
To quiet, listening souls.

Honor sacred contracts entered,
Before your birth of flesh.
Sit humbly at each master’s feet
And teach the lessons you know best

Embrace thyself - a glorious being,
Adorned in gifts of divine imperfection,
Creation’s power dwells within,
Forever radiant, your guiding light

Child of the Universe,
Sing! Dance! Laugh! Play!
Angels herald your precious presence -
Awake to this new day!
